Sandbag drills

After some vacationing, it’s back to the grind. Whilst on vacation, I thought it would be a good idea to sign up for a few races. One is a relay and the other is an obstacle course race. I just know there’s going to be a sandbag carry somewhere in the 6 miles/65 obstacles, so that’s what we’re preparing for today. Woo!

Part 1: Partner sandbag drills

a) burped tuck jumps  — b) sandbag gym lap

a) push ups — b) sandbag lunges – gym length, run back

a) plank straddle pike ups — b) sandbag gym lap

a) plank hold — b) sandbag lunges – gym length, run back

Part 2:

10-20-30-40 reps

*2 hills to start*

  1. pushups – decline or incline
  2. jump squats (completely unload)
  3. elevated bridge press
  4. leg raises
  5. dips

*2 hills to finish*
